In order for health care professionals to quickly recognize from the thousands of substances that are used as components of homeopathic products, the latin scientific names are used to describe the active ingredients.
Can Homeopathy be categorized as a form of natural medicine?
Homeopathy is a holistic medical approach in which medications used, originate from plants, animals and minerals. Beside the homeopathic principles, other mechanisms of action have been seen in modern research. Minute dosages seem to have a regulating effect by stimulation of specific mechanisms that will result in stimulated or inhibited secretions of mediators. Homeopathy is more than a treatment, more than another kind of medicine. It is above all a philosophy of medicine, a different approach to the ill patient.

Based on the supporting information and instructions available on the label, Canadians can safely select and use these products to maintain and improve their health. Consumer health products cover a broad range of products including cosmetics, disinfectants, non-prescription drugs and natural health products.

Can homeopathic remedies treat chronic conditions?
Once the patient is properly diagnosed, yes, homeopathic products can be used to both: alleviate symptoms related to chronic illnesses and, within a long term holistic health care program, help to address the underlying causes.
How quickly do homeopathic medicines take effect?
Depending on the cause and symptoms the time and degree of relief can widely vary. In acute conditions a dose should be taken every 15 minutes to an hour until relief is felt. In chronic illness symptoms may be alleviated rapidly but the underlying cause may take a long time to resolve with consistent treatment.
At what times should homeopathic treatments be taken?
Homeopathic products should be consumer 1 to 2 hours after mealtime.
Why must one let the pellets dissolve under the tongue?
Slowly dissolving the pellet or tablets under the tongue maximises the exposure time and is thus stipulated to maximise the effects.

What is the purpose of the 6-digit number on a homeopathic medicine bottle label and on its outer carton?
This 6-digit number, the lot number, is generated for trackability purposes and demonstrates the details of the manufacture, processing, packing, holding, and distribution of a batch or lot of drug product.
Can I take several homeopathic remedies at once?
Yes, most of our remedies are based on the use of multiple ingredients that address different aspect and symptoms of an illness.
Can homeopathic and allopathic medicines be taken concurrently?
Homeopathic medicines contain natural active ingredients in small amounts and they are unlikely to
have drug interactions.
Do you have herbal products?
Yes we do, we offer phyto therapeutic alternatives like the Kids 0-9 Herbal syrup that has Ivy leaf extract as its active ingredient. The main difference between herbal and homeopathic treatments is as follows: for a herbal treatment, the plant is macerated for 3 weeks, we call that mother tincture, that is Phyto Therapy, when we start diluting the substance, it becomes Homeopathy.

Can a lactose-intolerant patient take homeopathic pellets?
While our pellets contain lactose, our suggestion is for lactose-intolerant patients to use our liquid products.
Can Homeopathy be used to treat animals?
Yes, homeopathic medicines are both safe and effective for cats, dogs, and horses as they are natural and do not cause dependence.

What is an NPN and why does it appear on Homeocan's products?
Health Canada has strict regulations when it comes to natural health products. These rules have been in existence since 2004. After a product has been approved by Health Canada depending on its quality, safety, and effectiveness, it will be given a Natural Product Number (NPN) or a Homeopathic drug identification number DIN-HM to indicate that it has all qualifying requirements. All Homeocan products are registered with Health Canada and have DIN-HM or NPN numbers. Homeocan has always guaranteed both quality and efficacy in its products as the Canadian leader in the industry.

How can I pay for my purchase online?
It is possible to pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express).
The billing address of your order must match the address associated with your
credit card in order to ensure the transaction is authorized.
When do you charge my credit card?
As soon as your order is placed and finalized your credit card is charged. At anytime if you choose to cancel your order before it ships a refund will be processed within 1 business day.
How can I cancel or change my order?
It is possible to cancel an order as long as it has not been shipped, by
contacting us at help@homeocan.ca. Cancelled orders cannot be reactivated.
Is the Homeocan website secure?
Yes. The Homeocan.ca website is secure. Your online transactions are secure and your personal information is kept confidential by security software, the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol. All transactions are handled by Stripe.
How can I check the status of my order?
Click on “Order tracking”. Enter your order ID as well as the email used during checkout,

Homeocan will overtime offer various point-of-sale discounts as well as promotional code discounts.
A promotion code provides the user with a specified discount. This amount can be calculated in various
ways as determined by the type of promotion. Usually there is a dollar value or percent value discount on the regular retail price. Promotion codes are applied to specific items in a shopping cart or the entire shopping cart and given to users at the conclusion of the checkout process. Discounts do not apply to taxes, shipping and handling charges or any similar processing charges.
Promotion codes are not applicable on Sale Priced Items such as clearance products and hot deals which already include a significant discount. Promotion code discounts are non-combinable with other offers or on top of previous discounts or sales. Limit one promotion code per customer per sale.
If this merchandise is returned, any allotted discounts will be first deducted from the value of the returned item prior to any refund or credit. Homeocan may choose to modify any promotion or discount without prior notice. One coupon per customer only.

How long does it take to obtain a refund after a return?
