1987 | Creation of Homéocan
Before founding Homeocan, Michèle Boisvert, then a pharmacist in Quebec, noticed her clients' interest in natural medicine such as homeopathy. With a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Montreal and a visionary spirit, she began making her own remedies. A few months later, faced with strong demand, she launched Homeocan, which would become a Canadian leader in natural health.
1990 | Launch of Homeocoksinum
In the 1920s, Dr. Joseph Roy, a French homeopathic physician, discovered Anas Barbaria while studying treatments for influenza. He observed that the autolysate of the heart and liver of Barbary duck, after dilution and dynamization, was effective in preventing and treating the symptoms of influenza, without containing germs. Later, science noted that migratory birds, carriers of the influenza virus, could play a role in the transmission of respiratory infections. Our homeopathy experts have therefore innovated with Homeocoksinum, our homeopathic response to influenza, and a night formula enriched with Chamomile and Coffea cruda for better sleep without drowsiness.
1995 | Moving to a bigger place
With the company experiencing rapid growth, it is now time to expand. Thanks to a dedicated team since Homeocan's creation, the laboratories are moved in a single weekend. The entire company is moving from the premises at the top of Michèle Boisvert's pharmacy on Papineau in Montreal to a warehouse of more than 23,000 square feet on Assomption Boulevard!
1998 | Homeopathy for children
Our homeopathy experts, always attentive to the well-being of families, have designed the Children 0-9 range, especially for children from 0 to 12 years old. This natural and gluten-free line targets various symptoms without side effects or drowsiness. True to the principles of our other ranges, Children 0-9 activates the body's natural mechanisms to relieve minor ailments. Good to know: the oral solutions are gluten-free, natural and without added sugar! A range of products that has convinced Canadian parents concerned about the natural health of their children.
2004 | International opening
With the great successes on the Canadian market and the superb reception from the Americans, Michèle Boisvert decided to join forces with international distributors who are experts in their field. The products are sold in several countries around the world: Russia, Vietnam, Europe and the Middle East.
Additionally, we are becoming a source of private label products for many of the major pharmacy chains around the world. Homeocan is now an international player!
2009 | Traumacare: a natural muscle pain relief range
To meet an exponential demand, we are launching a tailor-made range for joint and muscle pain. In creams, gels, tablets, drops or sprays, it's as you prefer! 100% natural and bringing together exceptional ingredients, the Traumacare range is formulated in our laboratory in Montreal by our homeopathy experts.

2010 | Essencia: a pure Aromatherapy line
Given the world's logical craze for aromatherapy, it seemed natural and obvious to us to create our own line: Essencia. 100% pure and natural Essential Oils, Organic Vegetable and Care Oils, Massage Oils, Room Mists and Floral Waters...
Equipped with our own laboratory, we ensure rigorous monitoring of the origin of our raw materials. Ensuring the purity of the oils and collaborating with professionals who are committed to extracting the best from plants, this is our leitmotif.
2013 | A state-of-the-art laboratory
The company's profits have allowed us to invest in research and development. We have therefore equipped ourselves with a completely renovated laboratory, in order to ensure optimum quality production. Isolated from other work areas by watertight partitions, and under controlled pressure, it guarantees absolute safety of the production process.
New equipment was also acquired: 6 new laminar flows, 2 IMPREGMAT machines for the impregnation of granules, globules and tablets, and a Korsakov machine for the automatic preparation of Korsakovian dilutions.
Now equipped with the best existing equipment, we ensure that we provide natural products of the highest quality.
